- Feb 05, 2020 UFC 247 Odds For The Main Card: Jon Jones (-500) vs. Dominick Reyes (+350) Valentina Shevchenko (-1400) vs. Katlyn Chookagian (+750) Juan Adams (-230) vs. Justin Tafa (+180).
- Feb 06, 2020 There is one fight on Saturday’s UFC 247 fight card where the odds stand out. That fight is the co-main event. In that contest, UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko puts her.
Toyota Center in Houston, Texas is where the next UFC event is taking place this Saturday evening. There are five bouts in the UFC 247 Main Card and we’re now going to discuss each one of them, as well as give some (hopefully) useful betting predictions.
Jon Jones vs Dominick Reyes (Light Heavyweight)
Jon Jones vs Dominick Reyes is the headliner bout of UFC 247, a trophy fight in which the fighters compete for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship belt.
Jon ‘Bones’ Jones is one of the greatest fighters in thehistory of this sport. He’s the current champion and there aren’t too manypeople in the world who seem capable of taking his championship belt from him.
Officially, Jones’ professional record is 25-2, but one ofthose was a disqualification, while the other was dubbed ‘no contest’ eventhough he did KO Daniel Cormier in that bout. The reason why his win was voidedwas that he tested positive for steroids.
What this means is that Jones is still without a ‘proper’defeat in the Octagon and Dominick Reyes doesn’t seem like someone who couldchange that.
Prediction: Jon Jones
Valentina Shevchenko vs Katlyn Chookagian (Women’s Flyweight)
There’s another title bout in the UFC 247 Main Card. Valentina Shevchenko (18-3) defends her title against Katlyn Chookagian whose record is 13-2. Those two defeats happened when she fought Liz Carmouche and Jessica Eye, the fighters whom Shevchenko beat in her previous two UFC bouts.
Ufc Odds 247 Picks
Katlyn Chookagian is no.1 UFC fighter in Women’s Flyweight category. However, this doesn’t make her a favorite. On the contrary, Valentina Shevchenko is the favorite here, a fighter who’s current Flyweight champ, as well as no.2 in the pound-for-pound ranking.
Prediction: Valentina Shevchenko
Juan Adams vs Justin Tafa (Heavyweight)
Justin ‘Bad Man’ Tafa is an Australian fighter famous for his powerful punches, which helped him win three out of four of his professional fights by TKO. Speaking of Tafa’s bouts, three of those were held under the helm of the Xplode Fight Series (XFS). He won all of those three. The only fight in his professional career that he lost was in his UFC debut last October when Yorgan De Castro KO-ed him in Round 1.
Bad Man’s second UFC bout is against Juan ’The Kraken’ Adams, an American fighter who’s 5 inches taller than him and who’s three times more experienced in the UFC. Kraken’s pro record is 5-2 and most of those wins were TKOs. However, he’s also very skillful when it comes to the ground game, considering that he used to be an NCAA Division I wrestler during his college years.
Prediction: Juan Adams
Mirsad Bektic vs Dan Ige (Featherweight)
TheBosnian fighter is thought of as one of the most talented fighters inhis division. His technique, speed, and stamina make him a favorite in thisbout. The trouble is that Bektic was also a favorite in his previous UFC fight, which he ended up losing in Round 1. Josh Emmett won that fight by TKO.
A similar scenario happened in 2017 when Bektic practically had a win in his hands, but a lucky punch from Darren Elkins brought the American underdog the victory. In that bout, the odds on Bektic were -600!
This time, he goes into the Octagon with Hawaii-native Dan Ige, whose fighting style is not too different from Bektic’s, in the sense that both fighters are very good when it comes to wrestling. Therefore, this is not going to be an easy job for Bektic but he should be able to deal with it, even if it takes him the maximum number of rounds to get the victory.

Derrick Lewis vs Ilir Latifi (Heavyweight)
The second Heavyweight bout in UFC 247 Main Card is the fight between veteran fighter Derrick Lewis and a newbie in this division, Ilir Latifi.
At first glance, this bout might seem like a fight between David and Goliath. On one side, there’s the 6’3 Derrick ‘The Black Beast’ Lewis, weighing 264 pounds and coming into the ring after winning 22 bouts in his professional career.
On the other end is Ilir Latifi, a 5’8, 205 lbs fighter, for whom this is going to be the first fight in Heavyweight division. Previously, Latifi competed in Light Heavyweight, winning 14 and losing 7 bouts.
Ufc 247 Odds And Results
Unlike the Biblical story in which the giant is defeated, the same should not happen on Saturday. Instead, an easy win for Lewisexpected, probably with a KO in the first or second round.
